Lunar New Year Dinner and Silent Auction

After 28 years, the traditional dinner has run its course. The final dinner was held on Saturday, February 15, 2020. It was a joyous event, with festive decor, a silent auction, tasty menu, and live music.

We have been transitioning to other events and dinners such as pop-up Dumpling dinners and workshops. Stay tuned in our events calendar!

Children's Chinese New Year Parade

Since it began in 1992 the Chinese New Year parade has grown to almost 500 students and become a beloved annual event in the town of Mendocino. The parade usually starts at the corner of Lansing and Ukiah at 10:45 a.m. and ends at Kwan Tai Temple with the traditional greeting of Gung Hay Fat Choi. Community members are invited to follow the children through the Temple to view the interior and the alter ladened with incense and food offered in tribute to the god Kwan Tai.
